If you haven't figured it out by now: “Ersti” is the German short form of “Erstsemesterstudi” meaning first-semester student.
That's who we dedicate the first week of the semester to.
The Ersti-Party for the Winter Semester 24/25 was a huge success!
Together, we celebrated Halloween and transformed the hall into a spooky and atmospheric party location.
The Halloween theme was everywhere – from our spooky decorations to your creative costumes.
From Mandalorians, Disney princesses, and anime characters to witches and blood-smeared faces, everything was represented.
Your costumes were absolutely amazing!
The turnout was enormous, and we’re thrilled that we were able to let so many of you in.
The party was full of energy, and DJ Springer set the perfect vibe in the hall.
Outside, the churros truck ensured that no one went without delicious snacks - maybe we should have a food truck every year?
It was great to see that not only Erstis enjoyed the evening, but that students from all semesters joined in as well.
Even a few guests who weren’t students came by and celebrated with us.
We’d like to give a special thanks to all the volunteers who worked at the bar, managed the entrance, helped at the coat check, and took care of so many other things to make the evening run smoothly. Without your dedication, none of this would have been possible – you are the true heroes of the night!
If you enjoyed the party as much as we did, consider giving back next year by volunteering for a shift.
Together, we can keep this tradition alive and make the start of the semester unforgettable for future Erstis!
Thank you for making the evening so memorable with us! We’re already looking forward to many more events with you – see you soon and here’s to an exciting semester!
